This thread will be something to compare weights of different areas on a Buttercup...

We all build a little different...

This might help us see where our specific item compares to what others are building...

PS I'm going to try to include a picture of the item weighed....

Hey Guys,
I took off the Tail wheel spring....

After the Epoxy Primer and Epoxy Color Coat...

My Bare Fuselage weighs Exactly 90 lbs...

This seems to be pretty light... because if compared to

some other Fuselages... they weighed more and didn't have the Vertical Fin.

.
Wing , Wing Tip , Leading edge , Aileron & Flap - 62 lbs
( The two leading edge control rods were not included )

Seats...
.
Putting them on a small shipping scale at work made me pretty happy...

The Seats weight 7-3/4 lbs....... Wow !

The Bad news.... The covers weigh about 2 lbs..... ( I thought they were lighter )

So.... Total weight for each seat is 9-3/4 lbs

Not bad for "High Back" seats .... Head rest and Lumbar Support

Gotta Fly...

PS Putting all these holes in the seats took quite some time...
.
To"ME" , it was worth it... Very Comfortable , and Very Light

Cowl
The Cowl still needs to be touched up with a little "Bondo" and Painted...

But as it sits... both half's are 17 lbs total....

I just noticed... This is WITHOUT the lower piece of Aluminum and Air Scoop...

I'll go out and weigh the cowl again...

Well.... It still weighs 17 lbs....

Chalk it up to a Bathroom Scale... Close , not exact...

Doors
Ok... I think this is an area that can be made lighter....

My Doors aren't completely done yet... But this should be a good reference.

Each door is 6 lbs..... Both - 12 lbs

Chromoly tubing , .032 aluminum skin , .11 acrylic , door hinges & door latches
