aileron travel differential
Is aileron travel up less than the travel down like in the elevator? I couldn't see a reference in the manual.

aileron travel
Dave
I had to notch out the fiberglass leading edge more to get the travel. I measured with a protractor. I don't have any pictures of it, but I recall there was only a thin strip of fiberglass - like 1/4" - at the top of the leading edge.

Hi Dave, I believe Kevin is right on the cutting of the fiberglass. I had to do the same thing. Was not much cutting needed but used a little dremmel to cut away some extra till I got the right degrees.

Thanks All,
I took out the fiberglass remnants completely to get cleaner airflow.
The upward aileron travel seems to be about 3 inches before the hinge plates hit the aileron tube and almost unlimited downward. I'll be double checking the continuance of a smooth airfoil curve from the top of the wing aft through the ailerons, maybe I had them up already a little too much.
