Here's our Buttercup STOL site.... We have a lot of people on it... ( You'd be number 200 )
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Buttercup-STOL/
The Control arms were made "per print".... you just squeeze the tube in a Vise....
I added the base reinforcing pieces.... instead of these other "Finger Patches" they've been doing...
.
My TIG cup is a small one in tight places.... a couple sizes up in normal areas...
Sometimes you just need to stick the tungsten "out" further....
As far as some Brazing has gone... Silicone Bronze ( Tin/copper ) was used.... It's stronger than Brass,
and goes on the same.... I use the TIG for that also....
.
.
I'll have to get back here and update my Building Log... Hope to see you at the BC site

ElliotW wrote:Mike- I would like to say that your craftsmanship is A+. I was hoping you could explain how you fabricated your Flap Control horns with the flange around the base and continuing along the lever side? Form press? Also concerning your TIG setup. What setup has worked best for you with your Wittman build? Cup size/electrode to have access to the real difficult clusters? Tig Braze setup? Thanks for the build log its a great help to see how fabrication is done with top notch craftsmanship.
