Well, I will be hoping for some great weather cause I just got the ok to come and play. Each year so far it was just too dangerous to fly over the mountains with the weather we had. So...
Will not be spending the night but will fly over Sat/Sun for the festivities.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Thanks for that repost. It's a good view of the strips.
I plan on flying up if I can get this annual condition inspection done---

Anybody notice anything funny about the markings on the "STOL Runway"?

Hey, those markings are sdrawkcab. Good catch, Wes.

... and the STOL seaplane base -- in the lower right corner -- isn't marked at all.

Ok, Don't everyone at once say how the fly-in went this weekend! I was planning on driving over, but had to attend to some home matters instead.

So, How was it? Any pictures? How many Highlanders, SS, etc were able to make the trip?

I was only able to come Saturday morning and stay till early afternoon before the clouds started moving in over the mountains. I did the balloon pop with everyone. Was fantastic. Wish I could have stayed longer but glad I left when I did. The clouds got pretty low toward home. I was not able to cross the mountains Sunday morning either. I kept going out and looking and could not see the mountains through the clouds. *sigh*
Hope everyone had a blast! Now, where are the pictures???

I've been waiting patiently for some images or videos as well.

Wow,

Well, I am certainly not going to post my crappy pictures now! My photography skills very closely match my computer skills... not good.

I did have a great time, and it was certainly worth the 12 hr drive. (but I'm not driving next year! I'm flying so I can have some fun in the competitions as well) What a great bunch of people, and a great time. If you have been on the fence about coming to this fly in, I can tell you, it is well worth it!

A BIG thank you to Billy, Vic, and the gang for all the hard work and hospitality. I sure do appreciate it!

It was great to catch up with some of the gang on the forum, Dick, Oren, John, Dennis, Wes and lots of others.
Best,
Ben Schneider

My phonecam can't touch his professional-quality work; the depth of field is extraordinary. His images do a fine job of showing off the hardware.

I wish I'd taken more pictures of people enjoying themselves and each other -- it was a terrific group. I'm hoping the Whitley guys got some good footage. The only "people" shot I got is of Scot Blankenship, wearing the best shirt I saw all weekend:
