Super STOL Completion

Post by Tralika »

There is another Super STOL flying. Gary Jamieson from Alaska completed his plane. He's a little too modest to post the news here himself so I'm doing it for him. He has about 15 hours on it so far. The weather in South Carolina is so bad he decided to postpone flying off the remaining test period hours until April. He watches this forum so if you congratulate him here, he will see it. Look for Gary at Sun-n-Fun with his completed project. I've attached a couple of photos that he made the mistake of sharing with me. Well done Gary!

That paint combination is beautiful. And the workmanship is terrific -- it's worth a trip to Sun 'n' Fun just to see it up close.

Congratulations, Gary.

Great job, Gary!

It looks great!

There are many things that happen really fast when you are
flying an airplane. There is no sense in rushing any of the others.

I would much rather be looking down at the runway, than up at it.

looks very nice,
don't rush the fly off hours
enjoy the moments
Hardest question is--- Now what am I going to do when it is cold and snowy outside and can't fly??
In South Dakota we just start another project.

Gary,
Are you going to fly your time off in SC?

That's fantastic -- it really is a beautiful airplane, with great attention to detail.

Hi Guys/Gals,
I just got back from Sun n Fun for my first trip ever. I looked at Gary's plane pretty good and he did a great job building and finishing the plane. I didn't realize it at the time that the completion picture was posted here on the forum but I had met Gary on one of my trips to the factory and after seeing him and speaking with him at Sun n Fun I realized I had met him already. He seems like a super great guy and is very reserved but nice. I enjoyed speaking with him and getting to know him a little better.
FYI for everyone, he has about 50+ hours on the plane now and said he plans on heading home to Alaska in his new plane in a couple of weeks.
I wish safe travels for you and please get active on the list and post lots of pictures of your adventures in the beautiful state of Alaska in your Grand Champion SuperSTOL
Take Care,
John Cooley
