Tiger-Striped SuperSTOL
There is a new SuperSTOL showing on the JA website... With a very cool tiger-striped paint job. Owned by a Aerodynamic Consultants in Lewes, Delaware. Very nice. Of course, I am partial to tiger stripes. I wonder who built it? Who painted it?

I don't know anything about the plane, but I'd hazard a guess that the "paint" is a vinyl wrap.

Nope. Not a vinyl wrap. Yes, basecoat/clear coat. Hours and hours of taping for 20 mins of paint.
The tiger itself was hand painted with acrylics and also airbrushed
Also the first ever all aluminum skinned wings. We used .016 for the covering and we're still considered LSA.
We did lots of different mods such as the extra strip across the doors, flap root fairings, and hand built custom exhaust.
All in all a great little airplane, however, if I had it to do again I'd step the exhaust up from 1 1/4" to 1.5" then up to 2" for a more throaty sound. Right now she sounds like a snowmobile!

I'm just now looking at exhaust. Is this a 912? What did you change on yours? Did you build it yourself? Can we see pictures?

There are many things that happen really fast when you are
flying an airplane. There is no sense in rushing any of the others.
I would much rather be looking down at the runway, than up at it.

A beautiful plane. I was going to do a search on the owner to see if he had a Build Log for the Plane. I has been deregistered in the United States, and is now freezing it’s tail feathers off in Canada. Someone purchased a very nice airplane.

I wonder why so many SuperSTOLs are sold after such a short period of ownership?

I can only speak for myself and guess that there are loads of folks out there that simply love love love to build. I actually thought of selling mine just so I can afford to buy another kit and build again.
