Rotax 914 Wiring

Post by orenjr »

I am confused on how to wire the trigger coil to the g3x touch. there are 2 wires coming from the tcu 26 and 13. The rotax manuel shows them going to an electric rev counter. I am wondering if they get wired to the gx3 on wires 7 and 8 of the gea 24 ? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks! Oren

Hi Orenjr....I found it difficult to wade through you abbreviation but I think this is what you're looking for. On the port side of the Rotax generator/timing assembly, about mid way up, you'll find the tach. sensor output to a two wire cable. The wire's are white/ yellow and blue/yellow. They run through a sleeve to a two pin connector. As I understand it the order of connecting them to your Garmin gea24 is not import but if the reading is erratic reverse them.
Plan not to be the first at the scene of the accident!
