I have a Highlander with a Rotax 912ULS. I'm trying to get a little more cabin heat out of the exhaust heater.
Has anybody used the high temp exhaust wrap?
If so, what are your experiences/recommendations?
Thanks, Dan

Re: Exhaust Wrap
I should have added to the last post that I have used the high temp exhaust wrap but that was because my cowling was showing some heat effect where the pipe curve was a little close to the cowl.

Re: Exhaust Wrap
Scott suggested to me to paint the inside
of my cowls to help keep them from
getting oil soaked, so I used high temp
white. To prep for it, I used carb cleaner
to degrease and that dark spot washed
right off, so I don't think it's getting
that hot.
Also, I read here sometime ago that
we could add brass scouring pads inside
the muffs for better heat transfer from
the muffler to the cuff, and that will
also add more heated surface area in
the air flow. I haven't tried the brass
pad thing, as I haven't needed it. I don't
fly when it's really cold, but the heat
cuffs seem to knock the edge off, when
I have used the heat.

There are many things that happen really fast when you are
flying an airplane. There is no sense in rushing any of the others.
I would much rather be looking down at the runway, than up at it.
