should I get the quick build superstol wing?
I would like to build but time becomes an issue. Thinking of using oratex to shorten covering time but also thinking of going with a stage 2 or 3 wing. What do you guys think about the time saved here and is it worth the cost?
Also, who has tried the spoilers and are they worth the effort. Weather would be an issue with a hole on top of the wing?

Definitely buy the quick build wings.
Trying that at home seemed to be a
recipe for disaster.
They build them in a jig. Very
true wings.

There are many things that happen really fast when you are
flying an airplane. There is no sense in rushing any of the others.
I would much rather be looking down at the runway, than up at it.

I bought the Highlander Quick Build Everything!!! I'm not disappointed, except that there wasn't MORE quick options!

There comes a time in everyones life when Get-r-Done is more important than doing it all. If I decide to build a SuperSTOL I’m planning on using all the Quick Build Kits available along with a Builders Assist program.

I don't know about the SS wing, but I got the fast build standard wing and I think it would have cost more than they charged just to build the jig/table to do it right. I also paid for the wings set to the fuselage because I have a very small building space and mounting the wings is difficult unless it is almost done. All in all, the fast build options seem like a tremendous value for the money, and I am nowhere near as clean with the hysol as the factory!

I completely agree with Dane. Rigging is done. Wing built on jigs means it will fly as advertised, well worth the dollars invested.

Well i am ordering my kit this week. Time to get the garage ready and prep for the build. I will go with the stage three wing due to limited time. Who wants to help?
Also, what would be some items and tools to get build before the kit arrives to help with the build.

When you place your order, request a DVD copy of the build manual. There's a list of tools in it, and it's good to read through the whole manual while you wait for your kit.
You may want a set of rotisseries for your fuselage and wings. Build them yourself, or talk to the factory about building a set for you.
There have been earlier threads on this topic. Here are a few:

As Dennis suggests, search "tools" both on the Just Aircraft forum and on the rest of the Wings Forum.
