Today is our Highlanders' 10th birthday!
What a blast these 10 years have been. Troy and Gary really have built a fine kit with a great company. Thank you guys!
890 hours and counting.

Congrats! Alan, good job!
I'm not too far behind you in hours.
I'm at 450, but that has been accumulated in the last three years.
I really like flying the Highlander!
Things are actually wearing out on the airplane! Never thought I'd be doing that.
Maybe we need to get a group of the "high timers" together to swap lies ;-0

Hi Wes. That sounds like great idea! I've got a few of those saved up. I've had to make several repairs and upgrades over this last decade (wow) so the stories abound.
I saw your Highlander at S&F last year. Nice plane! What kind of antenna is that you have on the port side?

If you are talking about my "clothesline" that runs from the wingtip to the tail, I hope you didn't get scalped by it
I spend most of my time cross country talking on the radio to friends on ham bands. So the wire is my random length HF antenna.
Works pretty well on freqs. of 14 MHz and up, kinda iffy below that.
One of these days, I need to learn how to talk to the ATC folks

Wes, wouldn't a center fed or even end fed "V" running from the tail to both wing tips work better on the lower bands? Rodger

Hi Roger,
Don't want to hi-jack this thread from Alan, so I'll start new one. See Highlander Ham Radio------

Hi y'all.
By posting about the "birthday" I was hoping to draw out other owners of early Highlanders so we could maybe find the first Highlander.
Anybody?
