Are you flying Saturday ? ja30driver is thinking about the breakfast in Guntersville Al. That may be a little far for you. What other Just folks do we have ATL and north ? 5ga4 in Woodstock is supposed to have a SS on the field.

I will be out at the airport on Saturday/Sunday. However the weather right now is not good. Mostly cloudy with 40% chance of rain. So I may just take it up when possible. I have flown to Guntersville before and it is not that far. But, with the weather not sure it would be a wise move. Always welcome to 0GE5!

Hello,
I'm in Senoia, GA. Airport is 64GA.
Two Highlanders on the field. Mine is one of them.

Hey Keith! That is by Peachtree City right? Not far by plane. You should fly up to the mountains my way sometime. :)

Hi Dennis! Sounds like fun reason to go on a day adventure. I used to ride motorcycles up in your area and all over North Georgia. I remember there was a private grass strip near Suches that usually had a few airplanes with people camping nearby . Do you know anything about it? Looked online and not much info. Oh, and yes Senoia is right below Peachtree City.

Keith,
I also have a motorcycle and ride all the time up here. The mountains are great for riding and soooooo many places to visit.
We are on a 3000ft grass strip in Cleveland. The airport you are talking about is the Suches airport (private). Hard to get into. Trees on all sides, mountains on all sides with a short strip. Nothing for a Highlander though. The have developed it pretty well with cottages, fishing, bathrooms and a camping area. Really nice place to visit if you don't mind mountain flying. Only a 15 minute flight from me. Would be nice maybe in the spring for several of us to meet up at my place then tour around the mountains including Suches. :P

That sounds like fun!

Also, I read on the PureGas website that Cleveland area has 93 octane non-ethanol mo-gas at Turner's Corner. Is that what you run in your Rotax? Best we can get is 90 octane around ATL.

Alright we will have to plan for everyone around here to meet at my place for a lunch and a tour of the mountains. Yes, I go to Turner's Corner for 93 non-ethanol. I use the 5 gallon can method :) I have been running it in the Rotax for years now. Works great! However recently they have shut down in the winter so I can only find 87 non-ethanol. So I put the octane booster in each 5 gallon can.

Dennis,
My PM's won't send for some reason.

Tell me where your strip is located.
I like to look things over on Google Earf.

There are many things that happen really fast when you are
flying an airplane. There is no sense in rushing any of the others.

I would much rather be looking down at the runway, than up at it.

Look up "Mountain Airpark, Cleveland, GA".
