Texas STOL Round Up

Post by AV8R Paul »

I Just got back from the to the Texas STOL Round Up. and I ran across Hubert Davis. He is the proud owner of a New Super STOL XL with a Titan Engine. He lives in San Antonio. When I went to the Factory to for a tour I saw his plane in the progress of being built. I'll add some photo's as soon as I figure out how!

All in all they had a really good turn out. However, due to a persistent rain the prior week they were forced to move the location of the take off and landing zone for the actual STOL Competition. Which made it very difficult to watch the actual competition because it was too far away. I enjoyed walking the flight line getting to see quite a few nice aircraft on the flight line. I would guess there were about 50 to 75 aircraft, with only one Just Aircraft in attendance. Saturday afternoon got very Hot & very Humid.

Paul,
Thanks for the post! I hate to say it, but I didn't know about the event. I'm even though I'm a part time resident of Texas. :(
Cheers,

That Super STOL XL painted up to look military really looks neat! What a great looking plane.

And thanks for sharing all that with us Paul. Looks like a fun event.
