Highlander build order

Post by Meatball »

Good afternoon everyone!

I have list, which I think is the factory recommended order in which to complete the assembly process, that I downloaded from somewhere. However, to no ones surprise, it is wildly incomplete. Does anyone have the order in which they put this thing together? Just follow the manual?

Also, I don't have any instructions on installing the SStol tailwheel on this aircraft. Any help on that front?

Hey Meatball! Q#1 - I followed the manual in order for fuselage and controls. and pretty much the same for the wings. Since this in my 4 build (Acroduster II, Pitts S-1C, One Design) sometimes I'd get out of order because of time constraints, or like tasks on the finish kit. The Covering I used Oratex manual. Q#2 - I have an early Highlander #393 so the SS tailwheel was not offered. I Ordered TK1 Racing's Pneumatic tail wheel set up. But I'm sure the SS tailwheel is pretty obvious. If you go to Steve Henry's Wild West Aircraft website Galleries the are some pictures of his later Yee Haws.

Good Luck

Thanks, Bruce. I called the factory today and they sent the chapter for the SS tail wheel so hopefully I'm set. I'll check out the galleries on Steve's site to get some inspiration.
