Fabric Covering Stuff

Postby Wes » Sun Aug 12, 2007 6:41 pm

Well, I'm finally getting around to sticking some fabric on this airplane. I am starting with the bottom piece on the reccomendation of a bunch of folks, and I had a situation with the fabric at the fwd main gear hard point that I didn't like. Namely, what to glue the fabric to. So I charged off into building fabric plates for the hard points. See photo.

Nice job.  All I did was glue to the tube along with the inside of where you mount the wheel legs.  I then reinforced with tape.

Fabric Plates on fuselage

Postby Wes » Mon Aug 13, 2007 8:14 pm

Dennis,
Thanks for the reply. Saw some pics of this area that just left a hole on the fwd side (see attached) and I thought that may be a place for mud to get in (since I dont plan on landing on any paved runways).

Looks like you are making good progress on your kit.
