Hello,
I'm new to this site. I've been reading up on the Highlander. What a wealth of information here. How Many of you went from say a regular plane to a Light sport due to the high cost? I have a nice 170B with a 180hp. The problem I am finding is, this is very expensive to operate or justify. I burn about 9 to 10 an hour and my last annual was $4,000.00. So, I am trying to put some fun back in this without braking the bank. I might be a little spoiled with the 170 though.
Does anyone have any info of N777ZD? Who built it? The mod etc? :D
Thanks
Dave

welcome
Dave,
Welcome to the forum. A wealth of info here - but apparently none about N777ZD!
You will find a Highlander cheaper to operate. I burn 5 gal/hr premium unleaded - very reasonable fun. I went from a Bonanza to the Highlander and I must say though the Bo was awesom, I enjoy the time more because I don't feel like I need to be going somewhere. The annual is cheap, especially for experimental/amateur built - though the turkey doing mine is more interested in chasing salmon/steelhead right now than finishing...
regards,
K
