My fibreglass windshield former now after I added to the rear bottom of legs(I had cut it too short before). Still need to sand the repair that is facing Pilot area more before painting.

I found it useful to mark your rivet holes with perpendicular lines(after they are drilled) just helps when taking windshield on and off.

Cap strip needs ends trimmed off, and I will give the front and rear edges a slight more downward bend on a sheet metal brake...just so the cap strip front and rear edges contact the Lexan a bit better...then windshield brackets ready for paint finally !!!

I decided to add one more fastener to the rear of the fibreglass windshield former on each side to hold the rear of fibreglass leg in.

I’ll probably use this stuffActually this is going to work better the edge on top side stays flat, will just have to make slices on back side to get back side flat.

When I put my extreme windshield in I attached it to the outside of the windshield tabs on the sides.
Much easier to install and replace.

The problem here tho is that it pushed my doors out the thickness of that lexan, and I had already mounted doors and hinges.

The hinges sent with the kit were not wide enough to move them out and still have enough flange for rivets. So I pulled the hinge wire, cut a piece of 3/4” flange hinge, and put that new half back on the old half that was still riveted to my door, this gave me a wider flange to rivet to the door frame. And saved me from drilling everthing out and starting over
