I have been considering building a short strip at my cabin in Minnesota and want to buy a STOL ultralight or LSA.
I need folding wings so I can hangar it in my garage,
The Kolb looks like a good candidate.
My potential strip is at 1900'msl and has clear approaches.
How short a runway can I use with a kolb?
Which model is best?
Two seats would be nice.
Are there any for sale?
Bill

Re: New landing strip
I'm thinking about carving out an airstrip at the property in Laporte,MN
I have an approach over a small lake...
One way "in"
One way "out"
I figure my Kolb Firestar would be able to do it "Safely" in 600 ft
That's probably "Double" of what I need....
I want it longer because of the plane I'm currently building...
.
One way to tell if a plane is "good"...... Not many for sale....
.
You might try the Matronic's site... More people there...

Sometimes you just have to take the leap
and build your wings on the way down...
