You can see a couple of the shiny cleco/rivet washers in the gap

To be able to tell where the step line is in relation to the firewall I drilled a tiny reference hole and stuck a chunk of Safety wire through.

Well it will be awhile before I post more pics of this windshield, I decided to wait until my Rotax Edge engine is on and see how my cowling and side mount intercooler will fit. Thinking that it’s best not to drill holes in my boot cowl until I get engine on in case I want/need to rotate the boot cowl up/down a lot.

This is an unaltered wing root fairing from the factory, for the Extreme windshield it was close except for the curvature on side of windshield. In this pic and the next pic you will see the Gorilla tape fingers I added. I clamped the fairing to the butt rib and then added the tape fingers to make a template for cutting a new fairing, it worked great. You can see the tape fingers I added on the top right, I just placed them so they would just touch the windshield.

The vertical punch is in the spar pin hole. I will add rubber C channel to the contact points along side of windshield. The aluminum at top of door frame not trimmed yet. I put the Gorilla tape on the windshield to prevent scratching.
